Configuration

Settings for each project, for the AI chat, and for the app itself.

Studio keeps settings at three levels. Project settings belong to one connected server. Chat settings change how the AI Chat behaves. App settings, such as the theme, apply everywhere.

Project settings

The project card at the top of the sidebar shows the connected project and how Studio reaches it.

Transport is how Studio talks to the server. A local project is normally STDIO: Studio starts the server as a child process and exchanges messages over its standard input and output. See Transports for how STDIO and HTTP differ.

Watch reloads the server when you save a file. Leave it on while you develop, so new tools and changed descriptions appear without a manual restart. Turn it off when you want a stable server, for example while a long test run is in progress.

Add / Manage Projects adds, removes, and switches between projects. Credentials for servers that require sign-in are kept per project on the Authentication page.

Chat settings

Open the Customize panel on the right of the AI Chat.

SettingWhat it does
View ModeThe width widgets are previewed at, such as Desktop
Operation FlowThe tool calls the model made, in order, with timings
Time zoneThe local time the model assumes
LanguageThe language the model replies in
Clear ChatRemoves the current conversation

The panel also holds AI Behavior, Render, Strict Mode, and Cursor, which tune how the model responds and how its results are displayed.

The same panel links to Usage & Billing, Chat History, Logs, and the Console for the chat session.

Models

Pick the model in the selector under the message box. Models are marked as free or Pro, and the Test Cases page lets you filter by the same tiers. The ring next to the selector shows how much of the model's context window the conversation is using.

App settings

The icons at the bottom of the sidebar open help, Studio's settings, and the light and dark theme switch. The switch at the bottom right of the window moves between Studio, for inspecting and testing, and Composer, where Compose builds your app.
