Heroku
Deploy the server as a container with git push
Heroku can build and run your Dockerfile when the app uses the container stack. You deploy with git push, and the app gets HTTPS on a *.herokuapp.com address. Clients connect to https://<your-app>.herokuapp.com/mcp.
Deploy
Create the app, switch it to the container stack, set your configuration, and push:
heroku create my-mcp-server
heroku stack:set container
heroku config:set MCP_TRANSPORT_TYPE=http HOST=0.0.0.0 JWT_SECRET=...
git push heroku main
heroku ps:scale web=1Add a heroku.yml at the project root so Heroku knows which Dockerfile to build:
build:
docker:
web: DockerfileHeroku assigns the port through PORT, and nitrostack-py start reads it from the environment. Don't pass a fixed --port in the Dockerfile's CMD when you deploy here.
