Install NitroStack Agent Skills

NitroStack publishes pre-configured coding skills that teach agents framework conventions, decorator syntax, and verification workflows:

Configure Agent Rules

Rules files tell your coding agent how NitroStack projects are structured, so the code it writes follows your conventions.

Cursor (.cursor/rules or .cursorrules)

Add the following directive to your project's .cursorrules or .cursor/rules/nitrostack.mdc:

# NitroStack Guidelines
- Always use `@nitrostack/core` for decorators (`@Tool`, `@Resource`, `@Prompt`, `@UseGuards`).
- Never import from obsolete monolithic package `nitrostack`.
- Ensure all tool handlers accept typed input schemas backed by Zod.
- Use fail-closed security for guards (`return false` if credentials or environment tokens are missing).
- Dev server runs on port 3000 (MCP Server) and port 3001 (Widget Dev Server).

Claude Code

Provide project instructions in CLAUDE.md:

# Claude Code Project Guidelines: NitroStack Server
- Package dependencies: `@nitrostack/core` and `@nitrostack/cli`.
- Run tests and linting: `npm run build` and `npm run dev`.
- Refer to framework reference docs at `https://docs.nitrostack.ai/llms.txt`.
